Geomatics

The Office of Geomatics Coordination (OGC) coordinates, promotes and facilitates the development, effective use, and sharing of geographic information across government.   The office works in cooperation with government and non-government organizations in Saskatchewan and across Canada to gather, store and present geographic information in online map form. Users can see a province-wide view of natural features such as rivers, lakes, forests and mineral deposits, as well as features such as roads, municipal and township boundaries, and population centres.

The information is made available through websites that offer access to photographic and satellite imagery, along with basemap data that assists resource companies and other key sectors in making development and business decisions.
